Throughout my life, I’ve always expected good things, strived to succeed, and felt that the best is yet to come. Okay, you’re right. It didn’t always turn out the way I hoped. Part of the reason is that I often depended on myself for the results. Many times, people in my life gave advice that made an impact. For example, Sue taught me to never have more bread than meat in a sandwich. I’m sure she has no idea how much that simple suggestion, prompted by my skimpy lunch, changed my way of thinking. Gene and Donna, who let me use their son’s room at no charge when I was down on my luck, see the best in everyone, and encouraged me without ever being concerned about past failures.
The joy I’ve felt from people like Sue, Gene, Donna, my own coach, and many others is magnified when I have the honor and privilege of helping another. My motivation is that of a strategic, positive, maximizer. As such, I see and believe the best in people. Whether in my own business, as a consultant, or as a corporate employee, those with whom I work always comment on my unique way of approaching, evaluating and solving challenges in life and the workplace. As your coach, I will apply the same skills to encourage, energize and walk with you.
